11 Jun Sustainable solutions won the semifinals
The Scale-Up Denmark centers for Energy Efficient Technologies, Offshore Industry and Experience Economy & Tourism had their semifinals in Musikhuset Esbjerg on Friday 8 June 2018.
The 23 finalists are chosen among more than 1000 screened high-growth companies and a highly professional selection board chose the most scalable growth companies as winners. Not only digital solutions had a main representation, but also sustainable solutions were highly represented among the finalist and the winners.
Winner in Energy Efficient Solutions:
The company from Thisted has invented an automatic water stop and digital alert to notify in case of water leaks or water stops. Very handy in households, holliday homes and at farms with animals, that needs constant water supply.
Winner in Offshore Industry:
The sharing economy platform for existing offshore components will not only resell unused parts, but also handle both the recertification and the stock management. The unused parts in the offshore industry are estimated at a value of 30 billion DKK, so the potential is very high.
Winner in Experience Economy & Tourism:
The eco-friendly and bio-degradable picnic grill is a hit worldwide and will soon be available in the Danish market as well. Carsten & Susanne Brøgger invented the grill after a holiday trip, where the traditional aluminum disposable grill were all over in the nature. Not a pretty view.
Congratulations to all finalists and all winners.
The 3 winners are now finalists in the Scale-Up Denmark National Finale on 1 november in Århus, where all 12 centers are competing to be Denmarks’s most scaleable high-growth company in 2018.
